After a hot start for the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football, everything came crashing down, in one injury after another national collapse. Jay Cutler to Alshon Jeffery was nearly flawless, until Dowell Loggins the Bears offensive coordinator shied away from his all pro wide out and left Cutler to get battered once again, by a fierce pass rush led by Fletcher Cox. Jay Cutler was 10/13 in the first half for 130 yds and a passer rating of 112, and that where things got halted. After the half The bears were driving and a strip sack derailed that drive and possibly more, Cutler was injured on the play, and lasted just one more play, which was a horrific interception. The damage was done tho, Cutler exited the game with a right thumb injury, and just like that my heart was broken and the bears season is all about over. There is just something over the Bears organization and Jay Cutler, that feels like a dark cloud, this city this fan base and this man deserve better, say he didn't play well sure!,but to say this man doesn't care is insult, and no matter the adversity has always been a class act and takes the high road. The bears lost more than just their franchise quarterback last night, they lost second year nose tackle Eddie Goldman to an ankle injury and Lamar Houston to a knee injury, and both Harold Jones Quartey, and Adrian Amos their starting safeties, left the game with concussions. To have your home opener be Monday Night Football, and to show up the way the bears were prepared falls directly on John Fox, whose now an embarrassingly 1-8 at Solider Field, may have to resurgence like non other or he could be looking for work soon. When he made Loggins the OC, no one questioned it because Foxy usually picks and knows good Coordinators. But he really needs to rethink the Loggins hire, and looked to pick up the recently fired Greg Roman from the Bills. All in all a piss poor effort from the bears, who have upgraded their offensive line, but it still looks in shambles, as Cutler has been the most pressured QB this year, and it shows that he does not trust them, and how could you when you get pressured on every other drop back. Time to correct things is now but with Cutler out for the foreseeable future and defense in shambles, the Bears look more destined for a top 5 pick then the playoffs.
